A weathered piece of wood found under some grass along the streambanks at the New Mallery Abbey shows signs of previous beaver activity in the area. The gnaw marks on the left side of the wood are clear indicators that beavers had previously called the streams home. With the beaver dam analogs in place, they are more likely to return.
