U.S. Marine Corps 1st Lt. Taiyo Tatara, communication strategy and operations deputy director of 3rd Marine Logistics Group, speaks with students from Nihon University Tsuruoka Senior High School, at Camp Kinser, Okinawa, Japan, Dec. 5, 2025. The students from Tokyo engaged in exchanges of language, culture, and shared interests with Marines from 3rd MLG. They were also given the opportunity to tour the installation's Battle of Okinawa Museum, where they gained insight into the significance of Okinawa’s past. Long is a native of Nevada.
