David Stonum, a financial technician with Regional Disbursing Office-Pacific, Combat Logistics Regiment 37, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, speaks with students from Nihon University Tsuruoka Senior High School tour the Battle of Okinawa museum at Camp Kinser, Okinawa, Japan, Dec. 5, 2025. The students from Tokyo engaged in exchanges of language, culture, and shared interests with Marines from 3rd MLG. They were also given the opportunity to tour the installation's Battle of Okinawa Museum, where they gained insight into the significance of Okinawa’s past. Stonum is a native of Virginia.
