The District of Columbia National Guard’s 257th Army Band holds its annual “Sounds of the Season” holiday concert at Holy Comforter-Saint Cyprian Catholic Church, in Washington, D.C., Dec. 9, 2025. The annual program is part of the band’s commitment to community engagements bolstering partnership, service, and recruitment throughout the year. This marked the final performance for Chief Warrant Officer 4 (CW4) Daniel Wood, 257th Army Band commander. Midway through a concert, as a symbol of the transfer of leadership, CW4 Wood passed the baton to WO1 Christopher Short, the incoming commander.
