For 20 years, the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research-Africa (WRAIR-Africa) has partnered with the Nigerian Ministry of Defence Health Implementation Programme (NMODHIP) to provide HIV prevention, care, and treatment services to troops, their families, and wider communities in Nigeria. Following the celebration, MRDC and WRAIR leadership visited the U.S. Embassy in Abuja and several of WRAIR-Africa’s collaborators and laboratories in Nigeria. The work being done in partnership between WRAIR and its regional stakeholders is an essential part of our combined successes in the fight against HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases, ensuring the health and safety of service members and Nigerians.
