    2nd MLG Commanding General visits Marines deployed in the Baltic Sea Region

    U.S. Marine Corps 1st Sgt. Miguel Gonzalez, center right, the 1st sergeant of Combat Logistics Company A., Combat Logistics Battalion 6, Combat Logistics Regiment 2, recognizes Lance Cpl. Jean Machadoabud, a motor vehicle operator with CLB-6, CLR-2, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, for his work ethic and dedication during Exercise Freezing Winds 2025 in Dragsvik, Finland, Dec. 4, 2025. Brig. Gen. Maura M. Hennigan, commanding general of 2nd Marine Logistics Group, presented challenge coins to Marines and Sailors participating in Freezing Winds for their excellence and tactical expertise in their military occupational specialties. Freezing Winds is conducted to increase interoperability between Marines, Finland, and NATO Allies by executing combined amphibious operations in and around the Baltic Sea littorals, and is part of a regularly occurring series of exercises in northern Europe that demonstrates the capability to deploy and train Marines and Sailors in support of the NATO Alliance.
