SAN DIEGO (Aug. 19, 2025) — Cmdr. Hammer, oral and maxillofacial surgeon and director of the Maxillofacial Restoration Program at Naval Medical Center San Diego, talks with the family of U.S. Army Spc. Grant Dickerson after performing a jaw-in-a-day surgery. Dickerson had the surgery to remove a tumor that had destroyed two-thirds of his lower jaw and rebuild the damaged portion.
