Daniel Hammer, oral and maxillofacial surgeon and director of the Maxillofacial Restoration Program at Naval Medical Center San Diego, talks with the family of U.S. Army Spc. Grant Dickerson after performing a jaw-in-a-day surgery. Dickerson had the surgery to remove a tumor that had destroyed two-thirds of his lower jaw and rebuild the damaged portion.
