Adam Blanchet, a communications officer with Marine Aircraft Group 11, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, maintains a Wide Area Network Module-Heavy through a Multi-function Air Operations Center as part of Steel Knight 25 at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Dec. 4, 2025. The MAOC provides expeditionary aviation command and control and air surveillance capabilities essential to coordinating and sustaining Marine Air-Ground Task Force aviation operations. Steel Knight is an annual exercise that strengthens the Navy-Marine Corps team's ability to respond forward, integrate across domains, and sustain Marine Air-Ground Task Force readiness.
