U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer 3rd Class Marilyn A. Brammer, a damage controlman aboard U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Oak, stands beside her ship in Point Seraphine, Saint Lucia, after presenting the crew of the Dominican Republic's patrol boat Orion with a compliment of seawater-intake strainers. Brammer fabricated the strainers after Orion's crew alerted Oak's crew to their absence while they collaborated during Tradewinds 2013. Tradewinds is a joint and combined exercise conducted in conjunction with partner nations to enhance the collective abilities of defense forces and constabularies to counter transnational organized crime and to conduct humanitarian/disaster relief operations.
