251109-N-ML137-2035 DIEGO GARCIA, British Indian Ocean Territory (Nov. 9, 2025) Service members with British Forces Diego Garcia observe a Remembrance ceremony at Point Marianne Cemetery to honor fallen service members who have died in past conflicts, Nov. 9, 2025. Remembrance Sunday marks the day World War I ended, at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, in 1918. U.S. Navy Support Facility Diego Garcia leadership were in attendance at the ceremony. NSF Diego Garcia’s mission is to provide critical support to U.S. and allied forces forward deployed to the Indian Ocean, while supporting multi-theater forces operating in the CENTCOM, AFRICOM, EUCOM and PACOM areas of responsibilities in support of overseas contingency operations.
