ANNAPOLIS, Md. (Nov. 17, 2025) U.S. Naval Academy Superintendent Lt. Gen. Michael J. Borgschulte speaks during the 33rd annual Angel Tree ceremony in Nimitz Library. Midshipmen from 6th Company decorate a Christmas tree and menorah each year with paper angel ornaments provided by the Salvation Army. Each ornament includes the first name, age, gender, clothing sizes, and wish list of items for a child in need in the greater Annapolis area. As the undergraduate college of our nation’s naval service, the Naval Academy prepares young men and women to become professional officers of competence, character, and compassion in the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps.
