U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Lance Cpl. Brandon Orozcomandujano, a low altitude air defense gunner with 2nd Low Altitude Air Defense Battalion, Marine Air Control Group 28, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, fires an M4 service rifle during live-fire range as part of Exercise Freezing Winds 2025 in Syndalen, Finland, Nov. 14, 2025. The purpose of the Marine Corps Combat Marksmanship Program Table 5 is to assess and enhance a Marine’s ability to effectively engage targets at varying distances and under different conditions, ensuring proficiency in marksmanship, combat readiness, and adaptability in diverse operational environments. Freezing Winds is conducted to increase interoperability between Marines, Finland, and NATO Allies by executing combined amphibious operations in and around the Baltic Sea littorals and is part of a regularly occurring series of exercises in northern Europe that demonstrates the capability to deploy and train Marines and Sailors in support of the NATO Alliance. Orozcomandujano is a native of Illinois. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Bryan Giraldo)
