The 36th Civil Engineer Squadron Fire Department gives students from Andersen Middle school a tour of a fire truck during the 2025 Fire Prevention Week Pep Rally at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, Oct. 7, 2025. Fire Prevention Week is observed each year during the week of Oct. 9 in commemoration of the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. This year’s Fire Prevention Week theme was “Charge into Fire Safety: Lithium-ion Batteries in Your Home”, serving as a reminder that fires can start from something as small as a battery.
