Republic of Korea Navy Lt. Seonhak Kim, center, assigned to the Sejon the Great-class destroyer Yulgok Yi I (DDG 992), looks through binoculars in the pilot house of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Milius (DDG 69) at sea off the coast of Busan, South Korea, during Carrier Strike Group Exercise (CSGEX) 2025, Nov. 11, 2025. CSGEX is a bilateral exercise that strengthens naval interoperability, enhances the U.S. and Republic of Korea alliance, and demonstrates joint commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific. Milius is forward deployed and assigned to Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s largest DESRON and U.S. 7th Fleet’s principal surface force.
