NAVAL STATION NORFOLK, Va. (Nov. 18, 2025) – Vice Adm. Doug Perry, commander, U.S. 2nd Fleet, takes a selfie with Cmdr. Pia Chapman, commanding officer of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Ross (DDG 71) while aboard the ship at Naval Station Norfolk, Nov. 18, 2025. Vice Adm. Perry visited to thank Sailors for their support of the Titans of the Sea Presidential Review celebrating the Navy’s 250th birthday last month. U.S. 2nd Fleet, reestablished in 2018 in response to the changing global security environment, develops and employs ready maritime forces to fight across multiple domains in the Atlantic and Arctic in order to ensure access, deter aggression, and defend U.S., allied, and partner interests.
