Recent storms saturated the Sacramento area, pausing some of the levee-repair work along Garden Highway’s Natomas Reach A. Still, under Monday’s dark skies and intermittent rain, a crew continued preparing the Pumping Plant 1B valve vault for upcoming concrete work. During high-water events, the pipes within the valve vault carry water from the Natomas West Drainage Canal up and over the levee.
