Gov. Scott Walker, Maj. Gen. Donald Dunbar, adjutant general of Wisconsin, and representatives from the state Department of Natural Resources and Wisconsin Emergency Management visited the home of Daryl and Ann Phillips Thursday (May 16) that was affected by an 8,000-acre wildfire in Douglas County. The official party held a news conference at the incident command post at Gordon Town Hall and conducted an aerial tour of the wildfire site, which illustrated the effectiveness of fire containment measures.
