251009-N-ML137-1066 DIEGO GARCIA, British Indian Ocean Territory (Oct. 9, 2025) U.S. Navy Seabees assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 3 carry Randy, a training mannequin, in a race during a Captain’s Cup at Navy Support Facility Diego Garcia’s softball field, Oct. 9, 2025. The installation’s air operations department and Morale, Welfare and Recreation hosted the multi-event competition which was inspired by the field of Naval aviation. NSF Diego Garcia’s mission is to provide critical support to U.S. and allied forces forward deployed to the Indian Ocean, while supporting multi-theater forces operating in the CENTCOM, AFRICOM, EUCOM and PACOM areas of responsibilities in support of overseas contingency operations.
