U.S. Soldiers assigned to the Multi-Purpose Company, 1st Battalion 502nd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Mobile Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, prepare munitions to be loaded into the Widowmaker munitions dropper attachment designed for the PDWC 100 drone during Combined Resolve 26-1 in Hohenfels, Germany, Oct 9, 2025. The Widowmaker has the capabilities to drop multiple M67 fragmentation grenades, M18 smoke grenades, and “blue bodies” or simulated fragmentation grenades. Exercise Combined Resolve 26-1 provides units with tailored inputs that reflect the complexities of the European theater, enabling realistic training and preparing for regional challenges.
