GRAFENWOEHR TRAINING AREA, Germany — Spur candidates assigned to the 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment, Task Force Saber, Joint Multinational Training Group–Ukraine, participate in a physical challenger during the Spur Ride, Oct. 7, 2025. The challenge required Troopers to carry two full ammo crates and two linked belts, each containing 25 rounds of 25mm ammunition, drag three tank tracks, and push a heavy tire before completing the final sprint while wearing a gas mask. This challenge tested strength, endurance, and mental toughness—measuring each candidate’s grit and determination to earn the coveted silver spurs.
