GRAFENWOEHR TRAINING AREA, Germany — Spur candidates assigned to the 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment, Task Force Saber, Joint Multinational Training Group–Ukraine, participate in a night-to-day land navigation course during the Spur Ride, Oct. 7, 2025. The event required Troopers to locate multiple points across dense terrain using only a map, compass, and protractor while transitioning from limited visibility to daylight conditions. The course tested endurance, precision, and confidence—core skills essential to Cavalry operations and fieldcraft proficiency.
