Honorary guests and local North Carolina leadership hold their hands over their hearts and stand at attention during the national anthem during the Bells Across America ceremony at the Lejeune Memorial Gardens in Jacksonville, North Carolina, Sept. 25, 2025. The ceremony was held as part of the Navy Gold Star Program to honor and remember the sacrifice of fallen service members and provide long-term support to their surviving families.
