ATLANTIC OCEAN (Sept. 28, 2025) Air Crewman (Helicopter) 2nd Class Ethan Carter, attached to the Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 50 "Valkyries" detachment aboard Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Thomas Hudner (DDG 116), prepares to board the MH-60r Seahawk for the Sink Exercise in support of UNITAS 2025, the 66th iteration of the world's longest-running multinational maritime exercise. UNITAS, Latin for Unity, focuses on enhanced interoperability, building regional partnerships, and demonstrating U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. 4th Fleet as the trusted maritime partner in the Caribbean, Central and South America.
