Dr. Vitalii Levchenko, Head of the Centre for Identification, Main Bureau of Forensic Medical Examination, briefs about the forensic medical system in the Ukraine during the fourth Scientific Summit at the University of Milan, Milan, Italy, Sept. 20, 2025. The event was co-hosted by the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency and the University of Milan’s Laboratory of Forensic Anthropology and Odontology. The summit included information about ongoing recoveries, identification processes and advancements, partnerships and innovations, and any significant developments regarding specific cases of missing service members.
