AT SEA (Sept. 17, 2025) - Chief Information Systems Technician Petty Officer Ammon Cornelius, from Placentia, California, assumes the role as safety officer on the fo’c’sle of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Curtis Wilbur (DDG 54) during a replenishment at sea in support of Freedom Edge 25 at sea, Sept. 17. Trilateral exercises like Freedom Edge demonstrate our shared commitment to maintain peace in the Indo-Pacific. Curtis Wilbur is forward-deployed and currently assigned to Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s largest DESRON and the U.S. 7th fleet’s principal surface force.
