Anthony Cisneros, the assistant chief of staff and director of Marine Corps Community Services at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, gives remarks during the Canyon View Child Development Center Groundbreaking Ceremony at MCB Camp Pendleton, California, Sept. 15, 2025. The new facility will accommodate 300 children across 26 classrooms and is the first CDC on MCB Camp Pendleton specifically designed to serve a large infant population. Eleven of the classrooms will be dedicated to infant care, providing 88 spaces for our youngest children. This project stands as a testament to the hard work and commitment to reducing the childcare waitlist - a critical quality-of-life issue impacting Marines, Sailors, and their families aboard the installation.
