    U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Derek Bolton, a weather journeyman assigned to the 1st Combat Weather Squadron, instructs Airmen and Soldiers in preparation to jump from a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter assigned to Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson's 1-52nd General Support Aviation Battalion at JBER, Alaska, Sept. 3, 2025. The joint operation brought together various units supporting the mission in complex environments. Airborne training allows Soldiers and Airmen to maintain their proficiency and readiness to conduct airborne operations in Alaska, the Indo-Pacific and beyond.
