250904-N-HT995-1486 BAR, Montenegro (Sept. 4, 2025) Cryptologic Technician Networks Second Class James Novak, assigned to the Blue Ridge-class command and control ship USS Mount Whitney (LCC 20), flagship of U.S. Sixth Fleet, socializes one of the shelter dogs during a community relations visit to Azil, a local animal shelter that provides care for abandoned dogs in the coastal city of Bar. Mount Whitney is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations to support the warfighting effectiveness, lethality and readiness of U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa, and defend U.S., Allied and partner interests in the region.
