U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Joshua Clunan, a Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency short-term individual augmentee C-130J Avionics Systems Journeyman assigned to Ramstein Air Base, Germany, screen dry soil during a recovery mission in Germany, Aug. 26, 2025. Recovery team members assist the assigned forensic anthropologist on site with excavation, screening, and other tasks as deemed necessary in the process of recovering possible material evidence. The United States is committed to DPAA’s mission to provide the fullest possible accounting for our missing personnel to their families and the nation.
