An Air Force aerospace medical technician with 182nd Medical Group, 182nd Airlift Wing, documents casualty evacuation care using the Battlefield Assisted Trauma Distributed Observation Kit-Joint (BATDOK-J) during an Air Force-Marine Corps Joint Medical Training Exercise on Aug. 12, 2025. The exercise, involving Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 163 (VMM-163), the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW), and the 182nd Medical Group, simulated combat casualty care and medical evacuation from Role 1 to Role 2. BATDOK-J, a mobile application within the Joint Operational Medical Information System (JOMIS) ecosystem, facilitates real-time patient data transfer from the point of injury. The exercise supports Navy Medicine’s goal of delivering agile medical units through modern clinical information systems produced by the JOMIS Program Management Office (PMO).
