LIMA, Peru (August 21, 2025) - Chief Electronics Technician (Navigation) Rich Whipple, assigned to Unmanned Undersea Vehicle Group One (UUVGRU 1), assesses an Iver3 Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) during Submarine Conference of the Americas (SCOTA). SCOTA is a multinational conference, now in its fourth year, bringing together submarine-operating nations from the Americas—including Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and the U.S.—to showcase undersea capabilities, address interoperability challenges, and strengthen collaboration against strategic competitors.
