A U.S. Army CH-47 Chinook helicopter assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 501st Aviation Regiment, Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Armored Division, conducts a Forward Arming and Refueling Point operation using a field expedient method commonly referred to as "Fat Cow," at the Drawsko Combat Training Center, Poland, Aug. 28, 2025. Executed ahead of the Polish Apache Initiative Summit live-fire demonstration, the Fat Cow configuration enabled rapid refueling and rearming of the Apaches in austere field conditions. The operation showcased the helicopters’ ability to sustain combat missions in adverse environments, highlighting their critical role in joint and expeditionary operations. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt.
