Okinawan residents tour decommissioned Japanese WWII aircraft hangars during a historical site tour of Kadena Air Base, Japan, Aug. 13, 2025. The 18th Wing community engagement team hosted the tour, which included visits to the Peace Garden memorial, decommissioned World War II Japanese aircraft hangars, and a former hospital cave that was used during the war to treat Japanese servi and later served as an air raid shelter for U.S. military service members.
