Daniel Lowry pilot a U.S. Marine Corps KC-130J Hercules from Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 252, Marine Aircraft Group 14, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, following another KC-130J Hercules from Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 234, Marine Aircraft Group 41, 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, Texas, during refueling operations on Aug. 18, 2025, Aerial refueling extends aircraft range and endurance, allowing U.S. and partner forces to operate longer and respond more effectively to missions worldwide. AE25 is a North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command-led homeland defense exercise designed to improve readiness, demonstrate capabilities, and enhance Joint and Allied Force interoperability in the Arctic.
