    Members of U.S. Navy Expeditionary Mine Countermeasures (ExMCM) Company 9-1 Unmanned Maritime Systems follow an unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) in the Cook Inlet during exercise ARCTIC EDGE 2025 (AE25) at Anchorage, Alaska, Aug. 9, 2025. UUVs are used in mine countermeasure operations to locate, classify, and help neutralize underwater explosive threats without risking personnel.
