250705-N-ME988-1500 NAVAL SUBMARINE BASE NEW LONDON, Conn. (Aug. 14, 2025) The Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarine USS Albany (SSN 753) arrives at Naval Submarine Base New London in Groton, Conn., for a scheduled homeport shift, Aug. 14, 2025. Albany and crew, previously homeported in Norfolk, Va., joined the ranks of Commander, Submarine Squadron (SUBRON) 4, whose primary mission is to man, train and equip Sailors assigned to fast-attack submarines to ensure they are combat ready and capable of taking the fight to the enemy.
