Seaman Kevin Taylor, the aft lookout for the amphibious transport dock USS Juneau monitors the fleet replenishment oiler USNS Pecos, not pictured, during an underway replenishment. The dock landing ship USS Harpers Ferry is in the background. Pecos conducted replenishments with Juneau, the amphibious assault ship USS Essex and the dock landing ship USS Harper's Ferry. Juneau embarked elements of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit and Battalion Landing Team, 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines as part of their annual spring patrol. Juneau is the Navy's only permanently forward deployed amphibious transport dock and part of the Essex Expeditionary Strike Group.
