Researchers at the U.S. Army Aeromedical Research Laboratory’s Warfighter Performance Group are using USAARL’s NUH-60FS Black Hawk Flight Simulator – the world's only full-motion, full-visual aeromedical research flight simulator – to conduct research into operator state monitoring, a program aimed at developing ways of reliably monitoring aviators’ cognitive functions in order to predict and mitigate fatigue, cognitive overload, and distraction during missions.
