Members of the local Binghamton community wait for medical and dental assessments during Innovative Readiness Training Healthy Broome at State University of New York Broome Community College, Binghamton, New York, August 11, 2025. Healthy Broome is a United States Department of Defense IRT mission in partnership with the Broome County community. The mission will offer medical, dental, optometry, and veterinary services at no cost to residents from August 11, 2025, to August 20, 2025, at SUNY BCC ICE Center.
IRT missions are a distinctive experience, often a one-time opportunity in many participants' careers. Service members are encouraged to fully embrace collaboration and network whenever possible to maximize the benefits of the experience. Participating in an IRT mission is a point of great pride for Service members. It provides them with the opportunity to receive readiness training while directly serving and supporting their nation’s communities. (U.S. Army Reserve photo by Sgt. 1st Class Rodney Roldan)
