Sgt. Paulan Neil, a medic with the 319th Medical Care Detachment out of Pinellas Park, Florida, a subordinate unit of the 3rd Theater Medical Command out of Forest Park, Georgia, conducts a medical assessment on a local Binghamton native during Innovative Readiness Training Healthy Broome at State University of New York Broome Community College, Binghamton, New York, August 11, 2025. Healthy Broome is a United States Department of Defense IRT mission in partnership with the Broome County community. The mission will offer medical, dental, optometry, and veterinary services at no cost to residents from August 11, 2025, to August 20, 2025, at SUNY BCC ICE Center.
The IRT program facilitates the sharing of Department of Defense and community resources, driving cost efficiencies for both entities. Moreover, the diverse range of military capabilities offered by the program directly address long-standing local challenges. Opportunities for Service Components to collaborate are highly valued.
