Brian R. Hanson, a family member attending the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency’s Korean and Cold War Annual Government Briefings, is given an Honor and Remember flag in honor of his father-in-law, U.S. Air Force 1st Lt. Warren Sanderson, an electronic countermeasures operator with the 91st strategic reconnaissance squadron in the Cold War, at the event in Arlington, Virginia, Aug. 7, 2025. The briefings included presentations of the U.S Government's efforts to achieve the fullest possible accounting of missing Americans from the Korean War and Cold War. The program facilitated communication and collaboration among families, U.S. Government officials, non-government organizations, veterans, and third-party researchers to inform and support efforts in locating missing loved ones.
