PANAMA CITY, Panama – Panamanian Security Forces conduct a debrief with Oscar Sosa, exercise planner with U.S. Southern Command after conducting their final tactical training exercise as part of PANAMAX-Alpha Phase II, at the Cerro Tigre training range in Panama, Aug. 6, 2025.
The combined training evolution included a mounted patrol, close quarters engagement and illicit drug interdiction. PANAMAX-Alpha 2025 showcased the operational unity, trust, and shared values that underpin the U.S.-Panama relationship. From medical outreach to rapid response simulations, each phase built upon decades of cooperation aimed at maintaining the Panama Canal as a neutral and resilient global trade access point.
