A U.S. Army CH-47 Chinook helicopter, operated by Soldiers with 1st Combat Aviation Brigade, assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border (JTF-SB), carries an ISU-90 container during a sling load operation at Terrell County Airport, Texas, Aug. 5, 2025. The operation allowed U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to extend communications across remote sections of the southern border by placing communication equipment in hard to reach areas. JTF-SB executes full-scale, agile, and all-domain operations in support of CBP to protect the territorial integrity of the United States and achieve 100% operational control of the southern border.
