Col. Daniel Voorhies, 341st Missile Wing commander, explains the function of the wing operation center to Montana Sen. Tim Sheehy Aug. 6, 2025, during a congressional visit to Malmstrom Air Force Base, Mont. The visit offered an important opportunity to showcase Malmstrom’s value to both national security and the state of Montana. It provided a platform to deepen Senator Sheehy’s understanding of the wing’s role in nuclear deterrence, its economic impact and its contribution to Montana’s labor force. Building this connection supports the 341st Missile Wing’s ongoing efforts to expand advocacy beyond Great Falls and strengthen influence at both the state and national levels.
