250730-N-KC192-2169 FORT RUCKER, Ala. (July 30, 2025) Sgt. 1st Class Jonathan Edsell, the non-commissioned officer in charge of the Joint Enroute Care Course (JECC), and Sgt. 1st Class Vitaly Tsaregorodtsev, the non-commissioned officer in charge of the flight paramedic course, both assigned to the Department of Aviation Medicine, treat simulated casualties during a point of injury demonstration as part of the JECC on Fort Rucker, Alabama, July 30, 2025. The purpose of JECC training is to operationalize clinical skills of servicemembers and introduce them to a standardized methodology for providing critical care while transporting a patient through the battle space during deployment as members of teams operating in austere environments. The course enhances joint interoperability by bringing together personnel from across the services to operationalize clinical skills and strengthen integrated medical response during deployment.
