Operations Specialist (OS) First Class A.J. Mansapit and OS1 Samantha Chavez highlight the OS “A” school Capstone event at Surface Combat Systems Training Command Great Lakes (SCSTC GL) with Rear Adm. Gregory C. Huffman, commander, Naval Education and Training Command, July 29. This capstone event combines the training the OS students receive throughout their 10-week course, highlighting real world events as part of the Ready Relevant Learning initiative. During the visit, Huffman met with students and staff to emphasize the critical role of professionalism, combat readiness, safety, and teamwork in strengthening and sustaining a more capable warfighting force. More than 3,000 Sailors train at SCSTC GL annually, delivering advanced education and training opportunities to continue to strengthen the Navy team and ensure its warfighters remain ready and vigilant to face future challenges.
