Soldiers from the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, run for a distance unknown to them as part of their assessment during the 2nd ABCT’s first Pre-Ranger course here April, 24. They are on their third from last day of their assessment, which was over a month long. The course started with 16 candidates but only these four made it this far. The course is designed to prepare and to ascertain readiness of soldiers wishing to attend Ranger School. Right now the Army is experiencing a shortage of Rangers, and the founders of this program are hoping that it will increase the successful pass rate of Spartans wanting to go to Ranger School.
