U.S. Marines assigned to the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, I Marine Expeditionary Force, receive classroom instruction on how to plan for crisis scenarios during a Rapid Response Planning Process (R2P2) primer at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, July 17, 2025. The R2P2 primer allowed the 15th MEU to prepare its staff for crisis response and future operations using command and control procedures. R2P2 is a time-restrained planning process that enables the commander and the staff planners of the MEU to plan and begin executing a crisis response mission within six hours.
