Sailors share in language exchange with Okinawan school children

Aviation Electronics Technician 2nd Class Brittany Kerr, from Memphis, Tennessee, assigned to the "Golden Eagles" of Patrol Squadron (VP) 9, participates in a language exchange with Okinawan students during a community relations event led by Commander, Fleet Activities Okinawa (CFAO) at a school in Uruma, Japan, July 15, 2025. The event provided students with the opportunity to practice English by interacting with native speakers, while also strengthening U.S.-Japan ties through cultural exchange. CFAO maintains and operates facilities to support United Nations Command-Rear missions, coalition and allied partners, U.S. Navy ships, submarines, and aircraft, and Joint Force assets in the Indo-Pacific region.
