Combat Engineers with the 104th Brigade Engineer Battalion, 44th Infantry Brigade Combat team, New Jersey Army National Guard, clean their weapons while recieving a class on warrior task that were conducted during DEFENDER 25 in Bize, Albania, June 2, 2025. More than 100 Soldiers of the New Jersey Army National Guard participated in the United States’ largest annual U.S. Army security cooperation exercise in Europe May 24-June 11, 2025. While overseas in Albania, the Citizen-Soldiers of the 104th Brigade Engineer Battalion, 44th Infantry Brigade Combat Team; and Observer Coach/Trainer Operations Group, will not only fulfill their own annual military readiness training requirements, they will strengthen NATO interoperability and enhance a nearly 25-year relationship with the Albanian Armed Forces within the State Partnership Program (SPP).
